Some services have set rates. Others need a quote based on the work involved. You’ll talk directly with me, Keith, and I’ll discuss pricing with you before doing additional work or purchasing equipment.

$75 for the first 30 minutes

$25 for each additional 15 minutes

I stay on the phone with you during the session and get your approval before continuing beyond the first 30 minutes.

I use AnyDesk for remote support. You authorize the connection, remain at your computer, and can see what I am doing. You can end the session at any time.

Remote access safety: I will never contact you unsolicited asking for remote access to your computer. Remote support sessions are arranged only after you contact me for help.

PC & Laptop Setup

Drop-off setup starting at $100

I can get your new Windows computer or laptop ready for everyday use, including basic setup, Windows updates and configuration, software installation, and account setup.

For setup at your home or business, the $125 on-site minimum applies instead of the $100 drop-off setup price. It includes travel within a 20-minute drive of Tinton Falls and the first hour of setup. Additional time is $25 per 15 minutes, with your approval.

Large data transfers, multiple printers, peripherals, or other special setup requirements may affect the final price.

You do not have to buy your computer from KPL Custom Computers to use this service.

Troubleshooting & Upgrades

Drop-off Diagnostics

$75 diagnostic fee

I’ll diagnose the problem and explain your repair options before doing additional work.

If you approve the repair, the $75 diagnostic fee counts toward the repair labor. If you decide not to proceed, or repair isn’t worthwhile, the diagnostic fee still applies.

Upgrades

Starting at $75 labor

RAM, storage drives, graphics cards, and other component upgrades. Pricing depends on the components and work involved. Parts are additional. I’ll confirm the price with you before proceeding.

Customer-supplied parts: Contact me before buying or bringing in parts so I can review your computer model and compatibility. If a part is unsuitable and no work has started, there is no installation charge.

Custom Desktop Computers

Custom Quote

Every custom computer is different. I start with a conversation about what you want to use it for and what you would like to spend, then recommend hardware and put together a system that makes sense for you.

Your quote gives you one complete build price, including the agreed components, a genuine Windows license, assembly, cable management, Windows and driver installation, updates, and stability testing.

The components and included services are clearly described, and you approve the total price before I order parts or begin the build.

Home Networking & Wi-Fi

Custom Quote

A networking job might mean fixing a connection or network printer, improving Wi-Fi coverage, or planning a wired network for a home or small office.

Small troubleshooting jobs may be priced based on time. Larger installations and network projects are quoted based on the work and equipment required.

Service by appointment

On-site & Drop-off Service

Bring your computer to my office for setup, diagnostics, repairs, or upgrades, or arrange a visit for help that needs to happen at your home or business.

On-site Visits

$125 minimum

Includes travel within a 20-minute drive of Tinton Falls and the first hour on-site. Available for networking, device setup, and troubleshooting that requires an in-person visit.

Additional time: $25 per 15 minutes. I’ll get your approval before continuing beyond the included hour.

The first hour includes diagnosis, setup, or repairs performed during the visit. There is no separate $75 diagnostic fee or $100 setup charge. For quoted projects, agreed labor and travel are included in your total quote, with no additional $125 visit charge.

Parts are additional. Travel beyond the included area is quoted before booking. I’ll confirm the visit cost and travel coverage before scheduling.

Drop-off Service

Drop off your computer by appointment for setup, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades at my office.

I’ll confirm the drop-off arrangements with you before you bring your computer in. See diagnostic fees and upgrade pricing.

No Surprise Work

If a job needs more time, parts, equipment, or work than we originally agreed, I’ll explain the additional costs and get your approval before moving forward.

30-Day Workmanship Coverage

If a problem caused by my assembly, installation, or configuration work is reported within 30 days of service completion or delivery, I’ll correct that work without an additional labor charge.

This covers my workmanship. Faulty components, accidental damage, and new or unrelated problems are handled separately. Contact me so we can determine what happened before arranging further work. This coverage does not limit rights you have under applicable law.

A Note About Prices

Prices shown are starting prices unless otherwise stated. Parts, equipment, software licenses, shipping, and other materials are additional when required unless included in your quote. I’ll discuss any additional costs with you before proceeding.

Backups & Your Files

Please back up important files before service. If you need help, I offer separately quoted backup assistance and can supply a suitable USB drive or external hard drive.

We’ll agree on the files to copy, storage needed, and price beforehand. Backup availability depends on the condition of your device; copying files from failing storage cannot be guaranteed. I’ll obtain your approval before work that erases your files or reinstalls Windows.
